Recognized by the Washington Post and NBC as the master “architect” for the 2018 Democratic takeover of the house, Dan Sena served as the DCCC’s Executive Director for the 2018 election cycle. Dan is the first Hispanic to have held the position.

Dan brings over two decades of campaign strategy, communications and smarts to the firm. Starting in the late 90’s as an organizer in the South Valley of New Mexico, Sena has built a reputation as one of the nations most trusted political operatives. Named to Politico’s Power List, Dan has served in leadership roles for some of the top Democratic campaigns, independent expenditures and organizations in the country.

In 2016, Dan served as Deputy ED and Director of Strategy, Analytics and Voter Contact at the DCCC. Before that, he served as the Political Director for the Democratic Governors Association winning close fought Governorships in KY, WV, WA, MT and NH. Sena also managed one of the few bright spots in 2014, successfully guiding U.S. Senator Tom Udall to reelection. In 2010, Sena acted as Patriot Majority’s Director of Latino Paid Media and Mobilization for Senator Harry Reid’s independent expenditure.

Sena currently serves as a fellow at Georgetown. He lives in McLean VA with his wife, Elizabeth, and has two children.
